We are looking for Research Marketing Lead candidates for a project delivered through the hiring partner.
What you'll do
- Own research GTM end-to-end, developing launch and distribution strategies for research, benchmarks, evaluations, and other technical work.
- Establish the publication-readiness bar for research and benchmarks, partnering with researchers to ensure methodology, claims, results, and supporting materials are rigorous, clear, and defensible before launch.
- Develop positioning and narratives that translate complex technical findings into clear, differentiated stories without sacrificing technical accuracy or depth.
- Identify high-impact research opportunities by understanding emerging AI trends, open questions, competitive research, and what matters to researchers and practitioners.
- Shape research packaging and distribution, including research pages, benchmark releases, technical content, launch materials, and other assets that drive discovery and usage.
- Build relationships across the AI research ecosystem, including researchers, AI labs, developers, technical communities, and influential practitioners.
- Drive adoption of our research and benchmarks, identifying the audiences, communities, and channels most likely to use, reference, and build on our work.
- Measure research impact, tracking adoption, citations, engagement, usage, and qualitative feedback to understand what resonates and where our work is creating value.
- Create feedback loops between the market and research, bringing ecosystem insights back to the research team to inform future benchmarks, evaluations, and research priorities.
What you need
- Experience marketing, launching, or driving adoption of technical research, AI/ML products, developer products, benchmarks, evaluations, or similarly complex technical work.
- Strong track record developing and executing go-to-market strategies for technical audiences.
- Ability to deeply understand technical work and translate it into clear, credible, differentiated positioning and narratives.
- Strong understanding of the AI/ML research ecosystem, including major labs, research trends, benchmarks, evaluations, and technical communities.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical and broader audiences.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to evaluate whether technical claims, supporting evidence, and research materials are ready for external publication.
- Experience building relationships with researchers, technical leaders, developers, or AI communities.
- High ownership and the ability to take ambiguous initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Strong cross-functional skills and the ability to work closely with researchers while maintaining a high bar for technical accuracy and quality.
Nice to have
- Background in AI, machine learning, computer science, or another technical field.
- Experience at an AI lab, AI-native company, research organization, developer-focused company, or highly technical startup.
- Experience working directly with research teams and technical leadership.
- Familiarity with academic publishing, AI benchmarks, evaluations, citations, and research dissemination.
- Experience launching technical content or research that achieved meaningful adoption, citations, community engagement, or industry impact.
