AI labs need people who already know a subject to write, review and grade the material their models learn from. A radiologist checks how a model reads a scan. A tax lawyer writes the problem it keeps getting wrong. A linguist records the way a sentence is really said. You are paid for your judgement, not for your typing.
No. Nearly every role here asks about your profession and nothing about AI - that is the point of hiring you. Where a role does need a specific tool, language or degree, it says so, and the role page lists it.
Most roles pay by the hour with the rate published up front: the median on the board right now is $70 an hour and the highest is $400. Some pay per task or per project instead. You are paid by the platform you sign with, on their schedule - never through us.
Work modes and location requirements vary by role. 13% of roles explicitly list worldwide availability. The country filter removes known restrictions; where the location is not specified, check the offer before applying.
