We are looking for Police Dispatcher - Emergency Communications Specialist candidates for a project delivered through micro1.
What you'll do
- Receive and process incoming requests and incidents using multiple communication channels (e.g., radio, phone, digital platforms).
- Apply standardized protocols and checklists to gather information, assess situation urgency, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Prioritize and triage multiple concurrent requests while maintaining composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Coordinate and route requests to appropriate field resources and agencies based on established procedures.
- Deliver clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal communications in all interactions and record-keeping.
- Participate in continuous protocol review and feedback processes to improve standard operating procedures and AI training datasets.
Nice to have
- Proven expertise in police dispatch, emergency communications, or similar high-stakes coordination settings (APCO/NENA certification).
- Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing requests without losing accuracy or composure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially under stressful or uncertain conditions.
- Experience applying standardized protocols or checklists to ensure consistent and reliable request handling.
- Familiarity with digital communication platforms and information management systems commonly used in dispatch or emergency coordination.
- A commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to provide domain-specific insights to enhance AI model learning and evaluation.
