We are looking for Clinical Publications Author candidates for a project delivered through micro1.

What you'll do

  • Author and review realistic evaluation tasks based on peer-reviewed journal manuscripts, scientific abstracts, conference posters, and presentation decks to inform AI tool development.
  • Assess whether AI-generated draft sections align with publisher formatting standards, journal guidelines, and international publication ethics.
  • Evaluate scientific accuracy in manuscripts, abstracts, and discussion sections, distinguishing true errors in data interpretation or medical reasoning from stylistic or editorial preferences.
  • Trace publication claims and narratives directly to source records to verify that all statements are accurately grounded in data.
  • Provide clear and structured written rationales for each assessment, enabling precise diagnosis and improvement of AI model behavior.
  • Collaborate with project leads to refine evaluation criteria and document best practices for scientific publishing workflows within AI development environments.

What you need

  • Direct experience lead-authoring or managing peer-reviewed manuscripts published in reputable biomedical or clinical journals.
  • Demonstrated capability to interpret complex clinical data (TFLs, statistical analysis plans) and translate them into clear, publication-ready scientific narratives.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated medical/scientific publication authoring experience within a sponsor, CRO, MedComms agency, or as an independent consultant.
  • Strong working knowledge of publication guidelines (ICMJE, GPP3/GPP2022, CONSORT), copyright compliance, and journal submission workflows.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with a proven track record of providing actionable, structured feedback on scientific draft materials.
  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc) or equivalent depth of authoring experience.
  • Therapeutic area diversity across multiple clinical phases; expertise in oncology, immunology, or rare diseases is especially valued.
