We are looking for Mathematics Expert candidates for a project delivered through Mercor.
What you'll do
- Writing a problem at research or competition level, with the statement and the intended solution, plus the reference answer a model's attempt gets graded against
- Grading model-written proofs: whether each step follows, whether the edge cases are handled, whether an appeal to a known theorem actually satisfies its hypotheses
- Flagging where a model reaches a correct answer through an argument that does not prove it
What you need
- Clear written communication, since most of the work involves explaining your reasoning
- Comfort with ambiguous tasks, and willingness to flag unclear instructions
- Ability to tell a proof from a convincing sketch, and say precisely where the gap is.
