Fire & Life Safety Reviewer — Vulcan

We are looking for Fire & Life Safety Reviewer — Vulcan candidates for a project delivered through Mercor.

What you'll do

  • Author evaluation tasks for the construction and property field based on real drawings, documents, and site photos.
  • Create tasks covering egress and life safety plan check, fire access plan review, fire alarm review, sprinkler review, hazardous materials control area review, fire occupancy video inspection, firestop penetration photo verification, and fire system inspection, testing and maintenance report review.
  • Review work performed by other reviewers in your discipline.

What you need

  • Currently hold, or recently held, a seat reviewing fire and life safety design, such as fire marshal, fire prevention plan reviewer, fire protection engineer, or sprinkler and fire alarm designer-reviewer.
  • Hold a fire marshal appointment, NICET Level III or higher, or PE in fire protection.
  • Have 3 or more years of experience in the seat.
  • Be US based.
  • Work to IBC, IFC and NFPA standards.
  • Can mark up plan sets.
  • Can read hydraulic calculations.
  • Can read device layouts.

Nice to have

  • Have 8 or more years of experience.
  • Have experience training junior inspectors or reviewers.
  • Have experience writing department correction language or an SOP.
  • Have experience doing acceptance testing.
  • Have experience working across several NFPA editions and can state what changed and when it applies.
